Subject: End-of-Life of Visual ARMS (January 1, 2010)
Dear Customer;
I am writing this letter to explain the final announcement for the End-of-Life of the Visual ARMS LAN product. The Visual ARMS LAN version began its End-of –Life process on February 6th 2007. Edibar typically gives 18 to 24 months Sunset notice to its customers before the actual End-of-Life date is established. Most of our customers have migrated to the new Edibar-RMS product and are functioning now with all the trading partners they had with our legacy product. I feel that ample time has been given for all our customers using the Visual ARMS LAN product to migrate to the new system. The cost associated with maintaining two different competitive products in today’s economy cannot continue. I understand that you are experiencing the same issues with costs as we are and we have made arrangements to offer lease options on the migration costs or time payments over a twelve month period to help you in this migration. I urge you to make arrangements with our sales staff to evaluate whether you wish to stay with Edibar or move on to another solution.
Edibar typically gives full credit for the original purchased software against the upgrade to the new solution. This credit will no longer be available after the End-of-Life date. Your annual support fee will be adjusted to coincide with this date. At this time, no service options will be offered on the LAN version of Visual ARMS after this date.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, I sincerely hope you decide that Edibar Systems has done a good job in the past and wish to continue our relationship. If you have any questions concerning the migration please contact Ricky Hemric at 800-633-3210 or 586-677-8800.
Sincerely yours,
Wayne Metcalfe
